Oira skin study

Help us read every skin tone right.

Most phone colour tools get deeper skin wrong. We're testing Oira on as many women as we can, so it reads all of us properly. It takes about three minutes.

What happens

You pick the shade that looks most like your skin.
Your camera looks at your face five times, a few seconds each.
Your phone works out your skin colour as numbers. The picture never leaves your phone and is never saved. Your phone finds your face only to know where your cheeks are, and that is gone when you close the page.
You see exactly what would be sent, and you choose whether to send it.

What we keep, if you send it

The colour numbers from your five scans, how much light there was, and how sure the scan was.
The shade you picked for yourself.
Your phone's make and model, its camera's resolution, and the browser you're using, because every camera sees colour a little differently.
Where you said you scanned (by a window, indoors or outside) and the hour on your phone, so we know if it was daylight.
Your country (you can choose not to say).

No name, no photo, no email, no address. Nothing is sold. We use it only to make Oira's skin reading accurate, and we keep it until the study ends, at most two years.
